Talia's Dahlias

For our picnic lunch today, we chose to meet Daddy at Dahlia Hill. A garden society in Midland sponsors and maintains a large hill full of dahlias each year. The flowers were in full bloom.

Starting next year, we'll probably have a small section of our garden dedicated to "Talia's Dahlias". I'm sure we'll create a very cute sign - and it will be a wonderful family tradition to plant the bulbs each spring and watch them grow!
Dahlias are one of my favorite flowers as they're each so uniquely beautiful and they flower late in the year when many other colors have left the garden. Is it a wonder that our daughter's name has such a close resemblance? Our uniquely beautiful "Talia" sleeps below......
