A Theatrical Weekend

Talia was very cultured this weekend, taking in two shows in the mid-Michigan area!

Friday night, we took Talia to see Annie at the Midland Center for the Arts. We borrowed the movie from a friend a few weeks ago and have been playing it off an on to get her interested. When we told her we were going to the show on Friday evening, she immediately requested to "wear an Annie dress" and then helped Daddy pick one out. She didn't feel the first few he picked accurately portrayed Annie, but then settled on this one. Haha! She loved the performance and has been singing "Tomorrow" since.

On Saturday morning, we took Talia to see Sesame Street Live in Saginaw. She LOVED the show and even got up during the second half to dance along to some of the songs.

Halloween Playdate

We have a play date with friends every month. It's been awhile since we've posted pictures from one of these fun evenings. Tonight, there was no choice but to take a few pictures to share. It was the first night Talia was able to don her Halloween costume. Can you guess who she is?

Grandma's Pumpkin Patch 2011

We spent the beautiful afternoon (sunny and 67!) at Grandma's Pumpkin Patch. Talia fed goats, went on a pony and tractor ride, created masterpieces inside the chalk house, played at the playground, said hi to cows, tackled the indoor blow-up maze with the big kids, and had a bit of her first caramel apple.

And, just for fun - here she is the past 3 years!

First Haircut!

Talia got her very first hair cut this morning! She was intrigued by the entire process, sat still the entire time, and was pleased to receive a lollipop for being on her best behavior. We think she wears her shaggy bob very well, you?

Big Girl Bed!

Yesterday morning, we decided to make the move to a big girl bed for Talia. Perhaps the most critical aspect of this decision was that we decided to also rid the home of the pacifier at the same time. She seems to understand the logic that a girl who is big enough for a bed is too big for a "ba-ba". We've actually been amazed at how little she has questioned this.

The results? Well, no nap either yesterday or today. But, sound sleep after minimal whining each night. And, we didn't find her on the floor this morning!

Celebrating Victory

Talia celebrates the pleasantly surprising PSU win over Iowa yesterday - nice job by the D!
