Talia - 23 Months

Monthly Froggy Shots (1, 11, 23 months):

Baby Bumblebee

Talia LOVES to sing and she is a very good singer (yay!). She knows at least 20 different songs and will sing to herself while she plays, gets dressed, rides a bike, sits in the car/wagon, etc. It's adorable. It's especially fun to hear her break into a song we know WE HAVE NOT taught her. They must sing a lot at daycare, because there are many we recognized only because she sings so well in tune.

A few weeks ago, she started singing the cutest song with hand motions. I honestly couldn't tell what the words were, so I started singing it for my parents one evening on Skype to see if they recognized the tune. Sure enough, the song is called "Baby Bumblebee" and the words go something like this..... "I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee. Won't my mommy be so proud of me. I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee. Ouch! He stung me!" Listen for yourself (I finally caught it on video).

Talia in the Tulips

We stopped by Dow Gardens this morning on our way to the Farmer's Market. We wanted to snap a few shots of Talia in the tulips. We had no idea she would be as ecstatic as she was! She ran around like she was in some sort of candyland, squealing and jumping.....

You'll notice she's smelling the tulips in several shots. This was Mommy's creative way of getting her to stop running long enough for a picture:)

Talia and Caden

Talia's buddy Caden came over for a few hours on Thursday evening while his Mommy went to a work function. The weather was perfect, so we spent most of the evening down at our neighborhood playground watching the two of them go up the steps, run across the bridge, and go down the slide:)

At one point, we noticed Talia was very slowly walking across the bridge on her tiptoes. We asked her why, and she pointed down and said "could fall down hole"; too funny. We have no idea why she all of a sudden became cautious of the grating.

Midland = Playgrounds

They don't say it's a good place to raise kids for no reason........ there are probably 50 different playgrounds within a 10-mile radius, and at least 15 within a short bike-ride from our house. We've been taking advantage of this by taking Talia to a playground about 3 times a week. She LOVES her bike rides, and especially LOVES when they include a stop at a "payground"! She now spots "paygrounds" from the car too:) Here are some shots from an excursion after work last week.

Saginaw Zoo!

Last Saturday, Talia visited the Children's Zoo in Saginaw. What fun! The first animal she spotted was a wolf. She was so excited to pose by the wolf, I thought we'd never even get to see the realy animals:)

We eventually moved on.....

After visiting with all of the animals, we took Talia on 2 rides.
