Happy 30th Daddy!

It was a bitter sweet birthday this year - I unfortunately passed the 30 thresshold, but it was a fun day becuase we decided on the spur of the moment to take the afternoon off to spend some time with Tally, and we also finally took the time to buy bikes, which we've talked about doing for the last 3 years.

The afternoon started with going out to lunch with Tally and Leash at one of our favorite cafes, the Grand Traverse Pie Company. On the way back to work, we both decided that it was way too nice out for this early in March to go back to work. So we diverted ourselves to the tridge area in downtown Midland and spent time outside for a few hours. This turned out to be Tally's first experience with a playground. We put her in the toddler swing, which she was a big fan of. Then we tried going down a short slide a few times - this one she didn't seem to "get". As you can see from the picture, I was the only one who enjoyed the trip down the slide.

A few days later, we had an informal "party" at Pizza Sam's. The pinnacle of the party was when an employee harrassed me with a Pizza Sam's "birthday" themed t-shirt that mocks my age.

And no, I did not eat all of that ice cream.....

Until next time....
