Talia is 42 weeks old and becoming more and more of a toddler than an infant. We've been working on a few things with her for the past few weeks (outside of crawling boot camp)....
- Expanding her Palette- Talia is starting to eat big people food along with her baby purees. She often tries bits and pieces of Mommy & Daddy's meal - and she'll literally try anything. Some of her recent nibbles include: feta cheese, pita bread, hummus, black olive, avocado, salmon, grilled chicken, blueberries, and spinach. Also, she just started having yogurt with her morning cereal and LOVES it.
- Feeding Herself - We've been working hard on this one. Talia has now fed herself crackers, pretzel rods, and strawberries. I think she's gotten at least one swig of juice from her sippy cup on her own -- this one is a struggle. She drinks very well from the cup if Mommy or Daddy tilt it up for her. So far, she would much rather play with the cup than use it to feed herself. And, if she wants it (and you're not giving it to her), she'll dive for the cup with her mouth rather than pick it up. Not going to work that way Tally......
- Tricks -- She can now do "So Big", clap, wave, and give high fives. We're working on blowing kisses.
