A Milestone at Week 28!

Here are the Week 28 pictures from last Sunday. Baby is now plumping up, gaining about 0.5 lbs per week. I can tell the little one is getting bigger by the magnitude of the movements in my belly! For the past few weeks, my tummy has definitely been growing - mostly elongating rather than pushing outward. I think I have a few more weeks until my belly button pops:)


Since preterm labor sidelined me, Mike and I have set several mini-milestones that we look forward to reaching: Week 28, Week 34, Week 37. We've reached the first milestone!!!

Branches of lungs are quite developed now, so there is a good chance that baby would survive if born prematurely now. If your baby is born this week, the chances of survival is now at least 90 percent. However, some complications are still possible.
