This might just be the month we'd like to stay in..... Talia is so much fun at 19 months! She truly is a sponge, soaking up all words and phrases she hears. Some new favorites include 1) O-k; 2) Yeah; 3) In da gitch-en (kitchen); 4) Sit mama; 5) Rock a baby; 6) Wet die-pa....

She LOVES to run -chasing and being chased have returned as her new favorite games. Her independence is showing as she no longer wants to sit on laps to read, but instead wishes for her own spot on the couch and her own pillow on her lap to prop up her book as she reads. Her favorite pasttimes are reading and singing. It seems she'll be a good singer - I just overheard her singing the entire rendition of "Tinkle Tinkle" from her crib as she fell asleep for her nap -- in quite nice tune!

It's getting harder and harder not to laugh when she does things wrong. When she does something bad, she knows immediately and will try to divert your attention by sweetly saying "Hi ma-ma or Hi da-da" or even better, running up to you to give you a hug, leaning in to say "aahh ma-ma" as quickly as possible to avoid discipline. Where does she learn this?
